Las Mercedes coffee is washed and produced by the Aguilar family in El Salvador who also work with a local NGO to preserve the surrounding forest. Natureza is a product of Minasul Co-op, a world-leading co-operative supporting coffee producers in Sul de Minas, Brazil. The Natureza lot is aimed to have a classic Sul de Minas profile with a chocolate base and citric acidity fruit notes.

GRIND TYPES EXPLAINED

Whole bean: Whole bean coffee allows you to grind your own coffee right before brewing, to keep the freshness. Some coffee machines have a grinder built-in, or you can buy one separately.

French Press / Cafetiere: French Press or Cafetiere coffee uses a coarse grind. Grounds are separated from the coffee and there is no filter involved, so the oils from the coffee remain.

Filter / V60 / Kalita: Filter coffee grind is medium, like sea salt, and is made by pushing high-pressure water through fine coffee grounds, where the brew drips through a filter.

AeroPress: AeroPress coffee uses a fine grind, and creates a single serving of coffee that drips through a filter to separate the coffee from the grounds.

Espresso / Moka pot: Espresso coffee uses a fine, powdery grind. It has a lower ground to water ratio, and is usually thicker and more intense.

HOW MUCH DO I NEED?

A 250g bag of coffee makes around 15 cups - depending on your personal preferences.

One cup per day: 250g every 2 weeks or 1Kg every 4 weeks.

Two cups per day: 2 x 250g every 2 weeks or 1Kg every 4 weeks.

Three or four cups per day: 1Kg every 2 weeks or 2Kg every 4 weeks.

ROASTING DAYS

We roast every week on Tuesdays and ship Wednesdays and Fridays.

We believe that the fresher the coffee is, the better it tastes. All coffee orders received by 12:00pm on Tuesday will be roasted, bagged in our recyclable pouches and shipped the following day. This means that the coffee you receive from us will be as fresh as possible and lastingly delicious.

BENEFITS OF BUYING A KILO BAG

Upgrading to a kilo bag enables us to pass on the cost savings to you and give you more value per bag. On average, you’ll save over £6 on your coffee when you buy a kilo.

1Kg makes 50+ cups of coffee and uses less packaging compared to buying 4x 250g smaller bags - better for your pocket and planet.

100% RECYCLABLE BAGS

We care for coffee drinkers and the planet, too. Our coffee bags are 100% recyclable via kerbside or soft plastics collection points at larger stores of major supermarkets.

The bags are also produced in a carbon-neutral manner by the manufacturer.

COFFEE CARE

The ultimate way to keep coffee tasting fresh is to buy whole bean, grind at home and consume within 6 weeks of the roast date.

Store your coffee in a cool and dark place.
